Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept card payments. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.
We accept Visa and MasterCard. If you do not wish to pay online, you may provide your card information via phone.
If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.
When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
We will not be held responsible for pricing errors due to software mal-functions, or human error. This website operates on an 'invitation to treat' basis and not as an 'offer for sale' as a result, Paul Adams T/as Fine Wines reserves the right to decline orders for bulk or high value purchases.
Shipping And Handling We can only accept orders on line in pounds Sterling for delivery within the UK Mainland (this includes ordering overseas for delivery within the UK) . If you wish to send products overseas please contact us to discuss the options we can offer NB they are very limited.
Please note that Northern Ireland, Orkney and Shetlands and Isle of Man are not part of mainland UK.
Delivery Schedule Delivery charge to UK mainland is £7.95 per order, free if you order £200 of wine.
We use APC overnight so if wines are in stock you can get them within 24hrs, however you should expect to recieve them within 2 to 3 days. Any longer than this then please contact us.
Our couriers will attempt to deliver in accordance with your instructions, if you have asked us to leave the wine somewhere then we will instruct our courier to do so, once left the goods are at you risk so please be sure that where you instruct us to leave goods is safe!
If you are out the courier will leave a card IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CONTACT THE COURIER AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. Any questions contact us we will help sort out any/all issues. The courier can only hold onto the goods for 7 days from the first attempt to deliver whereupon they will be returned to us. If goods are returned you will become liable for an additional delivery charge if the goods are re-delivered, or for our full delivery and packaging costs (typically £12 for a standard 12 bottle order) in the event of a refund.
You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.
You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.
Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you.
Vintages have a habit of changing. We reserve the right to change the vintage without notice.

Credit Card Security When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our payment proviser, we never know your card number. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
Guarantee We guarantee your satisfaction. Any problems please just contact us as soon as possible so that we can resolve any issues.
The photographs shown on the web site are for aesthetic purposes only and do not form part of the contract. The wines sold are as shown in the title not description. If you have any doubts please contact us to ensure your choice is the correct one.
Vintages have a habit of changing in which case we will supply the latest vintage. If you are after a particular vintage then please contact us to clarify what is available.
We do not accept any liability for the condition of any wines once they have been in the possession of you the customer for 4 weeks or more.
We will offer a complete refund if any of the wines are faulty. In such an unlikely eventuality, we reserve the right to ask for the item to be returned for inspection and all cost will be credited accordingly. This does not apply where approved substitutes have been supplied, newer vintages have been shipped or where you have either sold or passed the wines on to another party.

Returns Policy Your rights to return goods are protected under the Consumer Contracts Regulation.
You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 14 working days for a full refund, including the cost of delivery. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days of the goods safe return. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed (this does not apply to vintage changes which if you require a specific one should be verified before purchase).

These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.
None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
Remittance Terms Refunds for returned and cancelled orders will be made as soon as possible. We aim to refund no later than within thirty days of receipt of goods back at our depot.
