Louis Latour Grand Ardeche Chardonnay is a superb, oaky Chardonnay from outside of Louis Latour s usual home of Burgundy. The Latour family have long been established in Burgundy s wine trade.
 
Louis Latour Grand Ardeche Chardonnay is treated as if it were grown in one of the Grand Cruvineyards of the C te-d Or. It is bottled as an Indication Geographique Protegee Ardeche (IGP Ardeche). Fully-ripened grapes are selected and pressed lightly before being aged in oak barrels made at the Latour cooperage in Beaune. The wine undergoes maturation for 8 to 10 months in medium toasted French oak barrels (20% new) with 100% malolactic fermentation. The result is a full-bodied wine that is smooth with notes reminiscent of exotic fruits and vanilla spice imparted by the oak.
