This wine comes from the Alexander Valley in Mendocino County, the most northern wine growing regionain California. The vineyards are perched high above the valley floor between 460-520m a.s.l. enjoying a heavy marine influence. The vineyards are pale loam soils on top of fractured sandstone which brings good drainage conditions. The vines strain to cling to the ridgelines yet produce deep, profoundly complex and age worthy wines. wild strawberry jam aromatics and raspberry and blueberry flavours accompnay rich velvety tannins.
