The Cotes du Rhone white, which is a blend of about 55% Viognier and the rest Roussanne, Marsanne, Clairette, and Bourboulenc. Guigal Cotes du Rhone Blanc reveals terrific honeysuckle notes intermixed with some white peach and tangerine skin in a medium-bodied, crisp, fruit-driven style with excellent acidity and depth. Drink it over the next 2-3 years. Guigal is the Rhone Valley’s most successful producer and continues to ratchet up the level of quality of his Cotes du Rhone cuvees, of which he produces hundreds of thousands of cases.
