The Butchers Block is a Rhone Style blend made from fruit selected from the Turkey Flat Vineyards, including some of the original old vine plantings. Grenache produce their best fruit in hot and dry conditions. The wine is a blend of Grenache (44%), Shiraz (36%) and Mourvedre (20%). This has resulted in a full flavoured, complex wine with excellent structure and seamless integration between the varieties.
Lots of really ripe red fruits, perfume and purity are the striking characters on the nose. Berries come leaping out the glass with enough air. This wine has lots to offer.
