A very intense ruby red colour with a bouquet of ripe black fruit (blackberry and plum) fused with toast, cinnamon, caramel and butter aromas. A very well structured palate with a velvety mouth-feel and a balanced expression of fruit and oak flavours. Supple tannins with a long finish.
This wine from vines of over ten years old is grown with a high plantation density. The malolactic fermentation process lasts for 10 days and the maceration of the skins lasts up to 18. The wine is fermented at 28ºC in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged in American oak for 12 months followed by a further 6 months bottle ageing before being released.
